Dactilera medieval

Hola paleos,
 
Para seguir ampliando el equipo medieval, he hecho mi versión de lo que podría ser una dactilera medieval. La he realizado con cuero y con una hebilla que he sacado de un reloj viejo.

En realidad, para una dactilera, te sobra todo lo del dorso de la mano y la muñeca.
Hay documentadas dactileras y guantes medievales, pero es la primera vez que veo algo que combina los dos.

Luego encontré en la web http://www.arbalistarmoury.co.uk este otro tipo, el cual use de inspiración para hacer otra dactilera. Ellos la sujeción la hacen con cordón y yo con hebilla, pero la idea es la misma:

Como descripción del producto ponen lo siguiente:

A friend spotted an archer on a 15th Century engraving wearing what appeared to be a shooting tab, closer inspection revealed he was definitely wearing a finger protector. This tab is the result of further investigation. It can be worn on either the left or right hand and attaches to the wrist by means of the leather strap. The strap has a slot cut into one end and the other end of the strap goes through the slot. A knot is then tied in the strap forming a button that prevents the strap coming undone. The middle two fingers of the hand pass through the two slots cut into the leather and the first three fingers then rest against the tab to protect them from chaffing against the string of the bow. After shooting, the tab need not be fully removed from the hand. The fingers can be withdrawn and the tab left tied to the wrist, preventing it from being lost.

Yo no sé si este diseño tiene fundamento histórico o no, pero yo si fuera un arquero medieval preferiría tener la dactilera bien atada, da mucha más seguridad. Además puede que se tenga que usar una arma cuerpo a cuerpo y luego tener que seguir tirando...
